This page covers ivomarino.com and the small personal tools I run under this domain. I am Ivo Marino, Baar, Switzerland. Questions go to ivo@ivomarino.com.

This website

The site is static. It has no accounts, no comment section and no forms that store anything. I measure visits with Umami, which does not use cookies. It records page views, referrer addresses, browser, operating system, device type and approximate location. If you write to me by email, I keep the message for as long as the conversation needs it and do not pass it on.

My Google API client

I use a private Google API client (shown to Google as “amux”) so that command-line tools on my own computers can read and manage my own Gmail mailbox. Only I sign in with it. It is not offered to the public and nobody else’s data passes through it.

What it does with Google user data:

  • It reads and labels messages in my own mailbox to sort my correspondence and to notify me of replies.
  • It stores its access tokens encrypted on my own machines.
  • It does not sell, share or transfer Google user data to anyone, and it does not use it for advertising.
  • It does not let humans read the mailbox other than me.

The use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can revoke the access at any time under your Google Account, Security, Third-party access.
